Day 1: Arrival - Prague
Following a short excursion to the Old Town, you will head out on a wonderful Vltava River cruise with a fine evening buffet. Overnight stay in Prague.
Day 2: Prague - Mělník - Roudnice nad Labem - Ústí nad Labem
After breakfast, you will still have the opportunity to briefly visit Prague Castle and to subsequently proceed to Mělník, the wine city to the north of Prague. Mělník Chateau offers you a wonderful view of the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe Rivers. In the afternoon, it will all be about getting into the saddle! You will cycle the perfectly built cycle route along the Elbe River to Roudnice nad Labem, where your day´s stage finish is. Afterwards, you will move on by bus to Ústí nad Labem and have dinner at your hotel there. (Course length: approx. 30 km, flat)
Day 3: Ústí nad Labem - Roudnice nad Labem - Litoměřice - Ústí nad Labem
In the morning, you will cycle along the left bank of the Elbe through the so-called ‘Bohemian Garden’, which is a fruitful corn and vegetable fields and orchards area, through picturesque villages up to Terezín, where you will pay a short visit to the Terezín Memorial. From here, it´s close to Litoměřice, an ideal location for your lunch. In the afternoon, you will move on along the right bank of the Elbe – partially on non-asphalted cycling routes, yet in good condition, crossing thus the volcanic hillside of the Bohemian Central Highlands to Ústí nad Labem. (Course length: approx. 50 km, flat, or rather a short side-trip to the Střekov-Castle)
Day 4: Ústí nad Labem - Děčín - Bad Schandau - Hřensko - Ústí nad Labem
On this day, you will enjoy a very well-built cycling route leading you through the impressive Elbe Sandstone Mountains landscape on both Elbe banks. From Ústí nad Labem, you will head on for Děčín, passing bizarre sandstone formations of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland until Bad Schandau, where you will certainly appreciate the lunch break. In the afternoon, you return on the right bank to the border city of Hřensko and here, a pleasant coffee break follows. (Course length: approx. 55-60 km, flat, partially slightly hilly)
Day 5: Ústí nad Labem - Königstein - Pirna - Dresden - Ústí nad Labem
The last part of your tour starts below the eponymous fortress. You cycle along a nice cycling route to Pirna, where a refreshment pause follows. Afterwards, you pass Pillnitz Chateau, going on along the Elbe to Dresden, where you can spend the rest of the afternoon as you like. You will spend the late afternoon hours returning by bus to your hotel. (Course length: approx. 40 km, flat, the first part is slightly hilly)
Day 6: Ústí nad Labem - Return journey
After breakfast, you will set off on your return journey.
