It is recommended that customers order taxis via a non-stop dispatching centre where they can gain information about the fare in advance. When the journey has finished, the driver is obliged to issue a correct and complete document showing payment of the fare. This document must be issued to the passenger from the printer on the taxi meter.

          These maximum prices apply for all vehicles operating taxi services within the City of Prague. The price for waiting includes operational waiting (slow travel if there is heavy traffic) as well as waiting requested by the customer. The level of the fare outside of the City of Prague is not limited.

Maximum prices for taxi services within the City of Prague:

o       travel within the City of Prague CZK 25.00/ 1 km

o       one-off entry fee CZK 34.00

o       waiting CZK 5.00/ 1 minute

          Each taxi service vehicle must be fitted with a firmly attached roof lamp with the word TAXI. Taxi service vehicles must be marked on both front doors with the registration number, name of the country, price list for the basic rate, price per kilometre and amount per minute for waiting. These prices must be the same as those, which the driver has set on his taxi meter.
