Metro
The Prague Metro network is made up of 3 lines marked with different letters and colours: green (Depo Hostivař - Dejvická), yellow (Černý Most - Zličín) and red (Ládví - Háje) with the possibility of changing lines at Muzeum (lines A and C), Můstek (lines A and B) and Florenc (lines B and C).
The Metro operates daily from 5.00 am until midnight. The time interval between train departures at peak times is approximately 2-3 minutes and 4-10 minutes off peak.
Trams
Daily operation from 4.30 am until midnight; the night service between midnight and 4.30 am is ensured by lines no. 51 - 59 at an interval of 30 minutes. The central stop for changing between night services is Lazarská. Tram timetables are located at individual stops.
Busses
Daily operation from 4.30 am until 00.30 am; the night service between 00.30 am and 4.30 am is ensured by lines no. 501 - 514 and 601 - 604. Bus timetables are located at individual stops.
Cable car
The cable car to the top of Petřín hill runs along the route Újezd - Nebozízek - Petřín. It is operated daily from 9.00 am until 23.30 pm (April - October) and 9.00 am - 23.20 pm (November - March) and runs at intervals of 10 and 15 minutes respectively.
Fares on Prague public transport
You can only travel on public transport with a valid ticket, which passengers must purchase before boarding the vehicle or before entering the transport area of the Metro. Tickets are sold at selected Metro stations, in newsagents, in information centres of the Transport company, in hotels, travel agencies and shopping centres etc. Tickets for single journeys can also be purchased from machines in the Metro stations or near some surface transport stops.
Types of fare
Transfer tickets: CZK 20.00 (valid for the metro, trams, busses and cable car to Petřín 75 minutes from the ticket being stamped).
Single tickets: CZK 14.00 (on working days from 8 pm until 5 am, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, tickets are valid for 90 minutes from being stamped).
Discount tickets: CZK 7.00 (children 6 - 15 years of age).
Passes:
o for 24 hours for all zones CZK 120.00, discount (children 6 - 15 years of age) CZK 60.00
o for 24 hours CZK 80.00, discount (children 6 - 15 years of age) CZK 40.00
o for 3 days (72 hours) CZK 220.00
o for 7 days (168 hours) CZK 280.00
o for 15 days (360 hours) CZK 320.00
These tickets are valid in all public means of transport and can be used for transfer. The ticket is valid for the pertinent number of hours from the moment it is stamped. Tickets can for example be purchased in travel agencies, in the information centres of the Transport company and in tourist information centres.
Free transportation of persons and items:

o animals in cages
o bicycles (only in the Metro and at off peak times)
