General procedure for car reservation:
1) Via the Internet – directly on the websites of individual car rental companies
2) By telephone
Which information will you always need to make your reservation?
o country, city and location for collection and return of the car.
o date and time for collection and return of the car. When collecting a car from the branch at the airport, you must state your arrival information – the name of the airline and the flight number.
o type of vehicle, number of passengers and amount of luggage. The category selection function on the reservation form will help you to choose a specific category of car. One category may contain several types/makes of cars.
o a payment card is an essential part of the rental and reservation procedure.
o optional additional equipment on the car. Additional equipment is provided on the car for a fee such as children’s seats, snow chains, roof racks for skis, roof boxes and similar. You can select and order the required equipment in the reservation form.
How long does confirmation of the reservation take?
In most cases you will receive confirmation of your car reservation in a matter of seconds. If you are reserving a special type of car or optional services or additional equipment, confirmation of the reservation could take up to 72 hours (on working days) from the time you reserve your car.
Which documents do I need to rent a car?
You need a personal ID card (passport for foreigners), driving licence and payment card to rent a car in the Czech Republic.
